With almost absurdly intense aromatics of oyster brine, sea spray and slate the 2022 Antica Terra chardonnay Litera enters with pronounced precision and focus, broadening to reveal a hint of orange blossom with aeration. The palate shows tremendous depth and energetic resonance with notes of Linden, orange oil and Shiro plum driving to a surprisingly grippy finish.

The 2023 Antica Terra chardonnay Litera is long on extract but with an almost shocking level of freshness and tension for its considerable volume. At fewer than eighty cases produced, we considered keeping all of this in our library to open at our kids’ weddings one day, but it’s too good – right now – not to share with you.
