On View in New York City:
Julie Mehretu: Our Days, Like a Shadow
& Vol. 1 SWERVE: Exquisite Corpse
For those in New York this spring: Julie Mehretu’s new solo exhibition at Marian Goodman Gallery takes as its subject the fleeting nature of existence, rendered in new paintings where shimmering color accumulates in layers, the work revealing itself differently depending on where you stand.
The show is also an opportunity to view and acquire Vol 1. SWERVE: Exquisite Corpse, the collector’s edition we created with Mehretu, Paul Pfeiffer, and Jessica Rankin, on view at the gallery for the run of the show. It may also be acquired directly on our website.
The collector’s set was produced in an edition of 150 and includes:
- An original Julie Mehretu drypoint engraving
- A hand-stitched lithograph from Jessica Rankin
- Two new photographic lenticulars by Paul Pfeiffer
- The 2022 Antica Terra pinot noir Exquisite Corpse, Mehretu
- The 2022 Antica Terra pinot noir Exquisite Corpse, Rankin
- The 2022 Antica Terra pinot noir Exquisite Corpse, Pfeiffer
- SWERVE, a magazine curated by historian, Lawrence Chua
- A custom box to hold the edition of artworks and wine
Our Days, Like a Shadow (a non-abiding hauntology) runs through June 6 at Marian Goodman Gallery, 385 Broadway, New York, NY 10013.
100% of profits earned from Vol 01. SWERVE: Exquisite Corpse will be donated to Denniston Hill.
